This is the second course of a two-term survey of basic physics. It emphasizes the practical applications of electricity and magnetism, geometrical and wave optics, and solid-state electronics. The course is intended for students in such majors as architecture, agricultural sciences, building construction, and forest resources. The laboratory experience is an integral and major part of the course and consists of experiments that develop the physics discussed in the lectures.
