This course introduces students to both two- and three-dimensional visual arts and the vocabulary necessary to express an educated opinion on the quality, value and significance of the arts studied. Art Appreciation emphasizes developing the skills of critical observation in order to build visual literacy and promote an understanding of various forms of visual expression.
