Whether meeting resistance on the street or in a correctional facility, officers must be prepared to respond appropriately to control a situation where the officer and the safety of the public are in danger. The defensive tactics curriculum offers criminal justice basic recruits effective, tactically sound, and legally defensible training in defensive tactics and control techniques.
