Writing about Sustainability will focus on reading, research and writing on the theme of Sustainability from an interdisciplinary perspective and across the curriculum. The course will focus on the three legs of Sustainability: the environment, social justice and economics. The proposed course includes a diverse range of genre from fiction, non-fiction, poetry, drama, to name a few, in fields from the humanities, science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, math, law, history, philosophy and other disciplinary perspectives. This course meets the definition of a writing-intensive Gordon Rule course (State BOE Rule 6A-10.030) and satisfies the Research and Analysis area of the SF General Education requirement.
