This course is designed to provide students opportunities to develop and strengthen skills necessary to work in a sterile processing department. During this course, students will intern in local clinical affiliates. Students will apply the skills and knowledge acquired from earlier coursework to prepare the work environment for decontamination and preparation of surgical supplies and instruments. Students will work under the direct supervision of hospital staff and will be assessed by clinical faculty.
